Summer Driving Tips
There are a lot of tips for safe Winter driving. However, each season comes with its own hazards, and Summer is no exception. Use these tips from the American Safety Council to make sure you stay safe on the roads this season:
Travel earlier or later in the day
During the Summer, the hottest part of the day will be between the hours of 10:00 am and 5:00 pm. Try to schedule your travel time before or after those hours. It will keep you cool and reduce the stress you get from the heat.
Prepare for road congestion
With many people going on vacation, there will be more cars on the road and could lead to heavy congestion. Scan for impatient drivers who show signs of road rage, out-of-towners who are not familiar with the roads, and cars that have stopped on the sidelines.
